Wheel adapters
Without considering offset, are the hub "holes" (where a hub-centric ring goes) the same diameter? I ask because I have a set of rims offered to me for my '91 Accord but need these rings. If I get a set of "generic" rings, should they fit the rims?
When adapters are ordered new, you must specify what vehicle they are going to be mounted on. Manufacturers use this information to give you adapters that have the appropriate diameter center bore size.
If you're buying used adapters, you must make sure they have the same center bore size as what your vehicle has. If centerbore is larger on the adapter, I suppose you can use hubcentric rings, but I've never seen anyone do that on an adapter. You'll need both centerbore demensions of the adapter and of your vehicle, and then order the appropriate hubcentric rings.
Hope that helps.
