Upsizing stock rims to custom rims
I have a 99 Honda Accord EX the original stock rims were 15 in the tire size was 205 60 15 I put custom rims on that are 16-in rims the tire size on the rims themselves when I got them were 215 60 16 but my tires rub in the back and the center parts there's a gap in between my axle and the The rim the center part what I'm needing to know is what kind of rim spacers do I need to fill in that Gap and what size tires would I need to put on these rims to where they don't rub I was told tire size I could go back down to 205 60 16 and it would prevent it from rubbing but I'm not sure and as far as the sinners not lining up I also need help on that please and thank you they're five lug

Re: Upsizing stock rims to custom rims
So, you got wider tires with the same sidewall profile on a larger diameter wheel. The 215/60/16's are essentially 6.1% oversized for the car. To maintain a safe driving vehicle, the maximum deviation shouldn't be more than 3%. So, the proper sized tires for those wheels (depending on how wide they are), would be 205/55/16. 205/60/16's are still 4% oversized.
