Default Is This Safe? stud Gap

ive ran these wheels a couple years just want opinions as there is no such thing as a lug that would fill in this gap... so far they havent came loose on me...a slight vibration but its given with winter tires and going over 70mph.

anyway here is the pic notice the gap between the wheel material and the stud itself thanks!!

Well I think most wheels have an acceptable gap, however that looks pretty significant. I don't know that any wheel vibration is "given"....but that's just me.

The conical seat of the lug nut should close the gap and center the wheel, but I'd have to really look at the wheel to see if there is any damage existing to the lug openings. I'd say that if you are getting seven full turns of engagement on the lug nut than you should be fine, but you could always take the wheels into a shop for evaluation as well.

Shops are too dumb around here. Nothing has happened but wondered if anyone else runs that much gap?

Just make sure you have the proper lug nuts and you should be fine.

My studs are M12.

The stud holes on my wheels are sized to fit on an M14 stud.

IME, a lot of aftermarket wheels are made this way (larger stud hole, even larger center bore diameter, to fit wider range of vehicles) and it's nothing to be concerned about. Assuming you have installed correct lug nuts, the flanges on the lug nuts should be large enough to make sufficient contact with the lug nut seat on the wheel itself. Unless you have some super duper wild and crazy slim tuner style nuts or something.

I'm not an expert, it's only my experience. Post a pic of the actual lug nut you're using.
