Fender Rolling Question
I'm wondering if this causes the fenders to flare out. From what ive seen, it looks like this process can stretch the paint. Is this process only done for people inteding to tuck with extreme negative camber? I have F&F coils but don't plan on having too much "vip style" camber. Could i have my fenders rolled but still have clean look and keeping them within normal specs or should I steer clear of rolling? Any comments would be great, I don't know ish about this topic. Thx in advance
Rolling is intended to simply take the edge of the fender, the lip that turns in towards the car, and roll it flat against the fender.
Because the angle of the bent metal is increased, it does stretch the paint, and can crack it, which is why running a heat gun over the paint while rolling is recommended.
However, if you "aggressively" (for lack of a better term) roll a fender, you can end up flaring it somewhat.
As for when to roll a fender, its done when the wheels are of too low of an offset and would rub against the fender without it. No rubbing, no need to roll.

Thanks, but I needed to research some more. I found pic that shows how it works. http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1133983209

If you want, you can get some 225/45-15 tires. Most tires this size are approved for 15x8 wheels.
Also note that wheel width is measured at the bead, the indent in the wheel where the inside edge of the tire is seated. If you think you have 15x8 wheels because you measured the width from the outer edge of the outer lip to the inner edge of the inner lip as 8 inches, then they are probably 15x7, not 15x8. But if you know they're 15x8, or if you've measured them from one bead to the other, then you shouldn't use 205/50-15 on them.

you are completely right, but you go to the low off set thread and they are talking about 9 inch tires on 195 haha, so when i seee that 15x8 on 205 seems reasonable hahha.
I've seen lots of people do things that are unsafe. A lot of the time they get lucky and nothing bad happens as a result. Sometimes bad things do happen. Most people wouldn't want to take the risk of having a tire pop the bead or blow out when they're on the road (or track).
That's a BAD combination, very UNSAFE. The 205/50-15 Azenis should only be mounted on wheels 5.5-7.5 inches wide. 15x8 is too wide for this tire.

what is there to it. buy/rent the roller, and a heat gun. look at vids on youtube. I used a sledge hammer on mine and its totally unnoticable unless you get under there and look. also dont argue with people here when theyre giving you sound advice. youre on your own stretching tires past their safe, engineered limits.
