Default bbs ra's help..

I have a set of bbs ra wheels that came off an old bmw. If anyone has these on their car can you please tell me your lug nut and wheel stud combination because they dont go on with stock lug nuts and wheel studs. They're going on my eg if that helps.

Hmmm, most older bmw rims fit as long as they are 4x100, I have ran bottle caps and basket weaves and both fit dam near hub centric. are you sure they are 4x100? the only thing off the top of my head I am thinking is maybe the center bore is off? So if I read correctly the studs are too fat? You have any pics? I used gorrilla lugs on both sets of bimmer rims!

i had a friend who had some old 13" bbs wheels that came from an old bimmer(early 80's)and we had the holes drilled down deeper to fit a conical seated lug bolt.

im guessing your lugnuts wont catch the stud, correct?

I have an EJ8, and the same problem. I have a set of BBS RA's 15-6 I believe. I am putting extended studs on. I just finished the fronts and I'm currently working on the rears. I had to press apart my front bearings to put them in the hub, but they are working. Ill let you know after I've done the rears and throw up some more pics.

These studs are made from a company called Moroso. The lug size is 7/16"-20 and the stud itself is almost 3 inches long (2-7/8"). The thread itself is smaller than a stock stud however the Knurl dimension is relatively the same at 480" DIA (its a very very small amount larger I believe). However my front two are done, and they work incredibly well. here's some product pics. Hope this helps you

i have the same wheels on my ek right now and all i changed was the lug nutz. they fit with a tappered lock stud (the narrower the better) the stock acorn nuts wont grab more than about 3-4 thread turns.
ether buy tappered nuts or extended studs

I honestly think there is more than that holding them on there... But sure, better safe than sorry I suppose... I ran them all last year with no problems..

yeah, well if the conicals work for you, thats awesome, I honestly couldnt get a nut on my stud when I tried to mount them with stock wheelstuds. My RA's are 6x15 but they are also the 35mm offsets, so I have 35mm more wheel that covers my studs do you have flushmount ra's?
