Alignment question......with a spare tire???
i asked here and not the suspension section because im confident you guys can answer this for me.
background:
i got a set of 17x8 wheels with a 38 offset. one is cracked and will be repaired[hopefully] very shortly.
i have a 5th wheel, same make and model, but its a 17x7 wheel with a 38 offset that i plan to run for now.
im currently running 215/40/17 all the way around.
the question:
i just added some goodies suspension wise and am in need of an alignment. would i be okay to get an alignment with this spare 7incher on there?
would anything be affected when i put the 8" back on?
or should i just eyeball it for now and adjust my toe the best i can[its fk'ed as of now]
as usual the help is greatly appreciated

If the wheel repair doesn't take longer than roughly a month or so, I would just wait on the alignment, bud. I've had to wait longer than that for an alignment, and I didn't suffer anything more than very light tire wear. Yes, you could actually adjust your toe on your own, for the front wheels (tie rod ends, obviously), and it'd be wise to do so, if the toe is completely knackered.
from my knowledge, it shouldn't affect it. but i would keep an eye on the wear or at least get it checked after the new wheel is on. I wouldn't really try adjusting toe by eyeball you could be hurting yourself more than helping, poss get the thrust angle off and then the car goes down the road sideways.
