+52 offset on a Civic?
I have my eye on a set of 16" +52 wheels, but I've never seen a high offset like this on a Civic.
I searched and all I could find were +52 17" on a S2000, which looked fine.
Any have this or a high offset wheel on a EG or EK Civic?

A Civic definitely needs a different offset from an S2000.
You need to provide more information before anyone can answer.
The offset number specifies how far in or out the center of the wheel is compared with the mounting surface on the hub. However, the actual amount of clearance on the inside and outside of the wheel depends on the width of the wheel, which you don't state.
Also, the best 16" tire size is going to be different on a '92-95 Civic (205/40-16) from a '97-00 Civic (205/45-16 or possibly 215/45-16) - the '96 depends on the version - and you don't specify which of these cars these wheels are going to be used on.

Thanks for the reply guys...
The wheels are 4Hx114.3 @ 16X7 +52.
I plan to put them on a 92-95 Civic Coupe. I'll change the hubs to 4x114 of course.
I'm worried that the high offset will look too "pushed in". I suppose I could use spacers if necessary, but I'd rather not.

Stock offset on wheels such as 4x114 jdm itrs are +50 offset and some people use the stock honda fit wheels which are +55 offset.
The wheel will appear sunk in but you can always use a 5mm huncentric spacer if you dont like the look as you already mentioned.

hey i'm planning on getting the 15x7 rota slips with the +28 offset, my car should be dropped around 2 inches. the tires will be 195/50, will offset cause my rims/tires to rub my fenders? should i stick with the +40 offset??

what he said. I have fit wheels on my eg coupe and i had to use a spacer in the rear because it was hitting the rear trailing arm. After the spacer it looks like its suppose to. FRESH!
arent spacers dangerous tho? ive heard some bad things...Im about to put my 5lug conversion on my EG, any idea what the offset will be changed to if at all?
im looking at accord wheels for a little while but they are all like +50 etc either 17x7 or 17x7.5

It depends. You can't necessarily only put on wheel spacers; there are other things you need to consider. If the spacers are just the flat metal plates (rather than wheel adapters which replace the lug bolts), then you have to make sure you still have at least 6 (7 is much better) full turns on the lug nuts; otherwise, you need to get extended studs and open-ended lug nuts. Also, if those flat metal plate type spacers are thick enough to move the wheel out beyond the hub, you lose the hubcentricity, and the wheels will be susceptible to vibrations (and worse). Again, the use of wheel adapters with the hub "lip" can avoid this problem.
What do you mean by pressure? You mean more of a lateral load on the bearings, which are already preloaded VIA axle nut/hub nut? How would a spacer, which moves the wheel further away from center of vehicle, differ from a wheel with a low offset? Why would a low offset wheel be fine on the bearings but not a wheel spacer?
I am a fan and always will be a fan of wheel spacers if used responsibly.
