welding brackets on bumper support

Default welding brackets on bumper support

im sure its been done before but just wondering if anyone has welded stainless brackets to their bumper support. im planning on doing this to mount my intercooler. if so, what filler did you use? thank you

309 filler, just clean the metal good.

Anything steel would work, just make sure the bumper is clean (no paint/rust).

Since the bumper itself is steel not sure what good it is that you need to use stainless unless it's all that you have laying around.

Naw, your bumper support is just simple steel. Nothing fancy. Just use mild steel for the brackets, and ER70-S2 for the filler...then paint her all up pretty!
