weld from stock header?
simple stupid question but i want to be sure.
will a good exhaust shop have any problem with welding from my stock header/downpipe to my flange-less cat/the cat back im having them make?
im just asking because the stock downpipe looks like thick iron, and i dont have a clue what you can/cannot weld together.
i didn't order a model specific cat with flanges, i just picked up a used clean cut cat from someone.

rRe you wanting them to weld the header DIRECTLY to the exhaust? thats kind of a dumb idea considering you will have to cut it off in the event that you have to change either of them. It also eliminates you flex joint which can lead to cracking.
but yeah they can weld it together no problem.

well, if they have a flange its all the better, but i will still have the downpipe flex joint if i have them weld directly, just no flange.
