I couldn't agree more. I made one for my car out of 1/8" 6061 AL and has been fine with no issues. Vise and mallet can work wonders.

i couldn't bend aluminium thick enough in the brake. the bracket is being incorporated into the CF charge plenum, stand by for updates when it is completed.

Hey it was off the top of my head lol
And you can make a quickie tent out of almost anything... trash bag, ziploc bag, etc,

A purge block is a good idea but it dimensionally limits you depending on if its a stationary block or one that trails the torch, size, etc

Are you doing a 2 piece mold where everything but the "floor" of the plenum is one piece, or are you making the floor out of aluminum then say, using quick connectors( the kind that hinge and pull the part down and lock, if that makes sense) and a gasket of some sort to seal it?

I'm currently brainstorming and getting ready (once funds allow) to start making my plenum, velocity stack as well as some other molds.., I'll be using a two piece mold along with bladder molding to make radiator pipes and charge pipes out of 12k carbon sleeve... I figure it will take 2-3 layers of each and 500* epoxy. However I'm trying to figure out how to impregnate the sleeves... maybe one at a time on the bladder our of the mold... the put it in the mold and inflate? The principle is sound. Or I can use infusion through the mold, simply two holes opposite each other.
