Last picture on the bottom in post 18, when you're tigging in a panel like that, is that as far as they get welded? Just wondering whether you fully weld/ stitch some panels, or if its mostly tacking then body filler. And +1. Mawrrr

If you look at the first pic on post 19 you can see where I fully welded and metal finished it. After its welded (and while im welding it) i hammer and dolly it to correct any high or low spots. That panel won't need any bondo.
Thanks guys

Thanks guys. Sorry I haven't updated, I have been doing that Biker Build Off thing so I've been workin 12-15 hour days. Here is a little progress I've made on the frame with the 8 inch kick up.

Yeah, I work for Jesse at A.S.S. the bike is finished finally, so now its a waiting game to see what those dudes at OCC built. As far as I know, we aren't hiring right now, but we always accept resumes. Thanks guys, I'll have some more pics soon.
And just to be clear and not steal credit the zephyr frame wasn't built 100% by me, the frame rails were lengthened, and the center crossmember was waterjetted and tacked in place by my boss Bob Bleed. I just took over the build after he did that.

Been a while since I updated. I got a new phone and lost a bunch of pictures, so here's some from today of a 49 merc that I just started the inner fenders on. Still got a good ways to go but it's should come out cool. Used hammer and dolly to get the rolled edge.

Thanks man. That rolled edge wasn't too bad, it got a little weird with the compound curves but I kinda expected that. Here's a lunch break update lol

For the curves I used a sand bag and mallet just to get a slight curve and not cave it in. Then I smoothed it out and worked it in the planishing hammer to get it perfect. After that I used a 1" round T dolly and a body hammer to roll the edge over.

My welds are kinda sloppy. We have been filming for some tv show pilot and ive worked 9 straight 15 hour days. That may not sound like a lot but with the added stress of the cameras and having to stop every minute and tell the camera what you're doing and why you are doing it, it starts to take its toll on me.

Awesome work as usual! You guys are part of something very great down there.
apwhat- I don't think you realize how much they charge for their work. It would probably take a lot of dough to buy some Austin Speed Shop pie cuts.
