Looks good. Not to be the bearer of bad news or anything, but how smooth is the inside of that plenum? It looks like there are weld beads on the inside as well...or is it just the discoloration from welding the outside?
Depending on how much of a "bump" they are towards the inside of the plenum, your going to to be beating the air all to hell when its coming into the intake itself. Going to create tons of turbelence, which never helps performance.
Just my .02. Other than that, looks great.

More pics of the process and finish, please!
Also, are you using a vice to form the runners?

No made a tool to form the runners. So it's done on a press.
The bead on the inside is minimal, but there is still more polishing to be done.

Made this flange for the tb. has a radius on it so there is a smooth transition into the plenum.

Now that this project is just about finished, building and testing 2 more of our intakes for testing.

Very nice. It must be nice to have your own machine shop.

Hey, do you guys sell those velocity stacks to the public? If so, could you please PM me a price? Thank you.

looks verry nice. but you should have moved those stacks off the bottom about 1/2" or so. It helps so much with air flow smoothness.

I made my own manifold just about to what you did, but for my b18c, dynoed with it and now I put my edelbrock back on and see if it will make any difference.

here is a pick of mine, I wish I would have found out about moving the stacks off the bottom before I finished the whole thing.

Why dind't you just use a vice to form the ends of the runners? The piece just seems unnecessary.

Allen2, a mandrel with a taper from the runner size to the flare size of your velocity stack is how to form velocity stacks.

could do that with a Honda, but have you seen the ports on a DSM. Not happening with a vice.

I assume you made one out of steel right? I don't have the tools to do that, think hard wood would work, aluminum is pretty soft stuff!

Yes, we made it out of steel. Not sure about the wood, would have to heat up the aluminum to get to to form. which intake are you making?
