Solidworks users
Firstly i thought i'd post it in this section because it's where potential users are most likely to browse.
I've got a "demo version" of solidworks, but I'm wanting the realy thing. I've seen some student versions for sale on ebay. I might go for 1 of these.
Does the "real" version have more features? I'm wanting 'cosmosfloworks' just wondering what kind of money it is, and how people find it to use?
I'm guessing its crazy expensive.
Regards
Ricky

I could be wrong but I don't think you're going to get any of the fancy features (cosmos, photoworks, etc) with the student addition. I think it's only good for straight up 3D modeling and drawings. I'm not even sure if they came with the real version we use at work, or maybe we just didn't install them. Maybe there's some cheaper flow analysis software out there you can use with models exported from the student version of Solidworks?
How much is a "real" version? I wouldn't mind buying the student version every year to be honest. But its not ideal specially if it doesn't have some of the features.
I thought floworks was going to be an add on and wasn't sure if it would work with the student version.

Student version is $99 a year. It's $199 a year if you want the Simulation Package (not sure what all is in that, I'm assuming things like COSMOS)
You have to be a student or faculty to be eligible for the Student version.

A full seat like what I'm sitting behind right now can cost 4 or 5 digits. That's stuff usually reserved for companies, not individuals, simply because it's cost-prohibitive.
