That could easily be fixed, and it's really not that bad as it is, probably won't affect power much at all, if any.

That is an easy fix, but like Tony said, I doubt you'll lose any power. Some guys local here have a 5 year old header of mine that makes yours look brand new that still beat out some of the new "cutting edge" designs out there.

Easy fix but it's not really worth it unless it's cracked and leaking.

take it to a body shop, and they can use a "stud welder" and they can then put a dent puller on it and ****** it out. it may need a little heat to do tho

Honestly, I don't think I'd worry about it too much.

With some of his early designs, you're in a bit of Dutch if you straddle a gater or go off in an uncontrolled way: http://is.rely.net/1-92-20925-...g.jpg

Caution: That's a big picture. You'll have to scroll to see what I mean, but you can clearly see that under the compression of a high-G turn, you will get a little close to the ground.

I'm assuming those flanges allow for the collector to be pulled off the runners.

If so, you could even do this yourself. Got to autozone, rent the pipe expander, stick it in each pipe, and go to town. The one they have is made for popping out the dents caused by the cheap u-bolt clamps, so it should work more or less for that. You might have to diy-anneal it, since I'd guess the heat cycles and vibrations would have hardened the metal a bit.

Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. That type of 4-2-1 has so much volume, it shouldn't do much. Only fix it if you take to to shows that require you to stick mirrors under the car

use a pipe expander to make it go back to its original shape

yes it is fixable , cap off the ends of the pipe and fill it with compressed air to about 45 psi , and heat the dents with a torch , and watch them just slowly pop out, this method is used on dirt bike expansion chambers to remove dents

Very Interesting, I will try this on my old DC headers.

yup, that header made 270whp+ on Matt Kennedy's old Motor. Dented and all. right now however, i had some downtime so Dave is fixing it for me cuz Im **** about that stuff. (and my motor makes no power, not due to the header though )

that 100 oil pan could turn into a 5k motor when it is dented into the pickup starving the motor of oil.
