What's ths for?

What grade AL or SS?

I can get 6061 T6 2'x3' for $74. That's an online vendor too. Go to a metal yard and you can get it cheaper I'm sure.

Start calling around. There will be a ton of places to call, but if you tell them you're just looking for one small piece, they'll probably give you the name of the cheapest place around. Most of the steel guys are pretty cool.
I know at the metal yard I go to, I could get that same piece for close to half that price.

I was going to use it to build a catch can/overflow can. Was planning on 6061 or maybe 7075. I was just assuming they were overcharging me because I live in a small town but if you say $74 is a normal/good price, I don't feel as bad paying that much I guess. Thanks for the help!

You could probably buy a full sheet and just cut it yourself.

i built one like tony's 1, the aluminum sheet metal (6061) costed me under 25 bucks...at our local Metal Supermarket shop...

what kills u is the dam aluminum bungs, their around 6-9 bucks a piece depending the -an size and brand. And when u get like 6 bungs welded on there...(2 for front of valve cover, 2 for rear, and 2 for the return...and then 4 more for the valve cover and 2 for the return on the back of the block...thats 12 all together, **** adds up...

plus u still need to buy the filters, which are around 10 bucks a peice...so depending how you want your system set up..its not cheap! haha..and thats without the ss hose and hose fittings..

Also if anyone knows where i can buy those aluminum bungs in bulk please feel free to share!

Im sure I could beat those prices on bungs, I just dont have time to run the cnc lathe if I could find me a push button operator for cheap, ht would have cheap parts
