Roll cage for a DB8 Integra
Hello. I drive a 1994 4 door Integra. I have thought about having a roll cage installed in my vehicle, but I am not sure how well it could be done considering that it is a four door. I drive my car on the street, so any cages would have to be designed to allow some what easy access in and out of the car. Has anybody had experience with cages in this model Integra? I am concerned about losing my back seat. Is it possible to fab a cage that will let me keep the rear seat? Can cages be built that will work well on the street, and still provide enough safety at track events? I would love to hear any input on the matter. Also, any photographs or diagrams would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

To keep the rear seats, you're going to have to run the cage down through the rear deck. I don't know how well the rear passengers are going to like the cage, though. I guess if you ran the side tubing low enough (I'm sure there are safety issues here), it wouldn't cause too much of a hassle getting into and out of the car.
Thanks. I guess if I actually need a cage, I could sacrifice the back seat. I occasionally track the car, and would feel much safer with a cage. However, I drive 98% of the time on the road. Just wanted to get some input to see if I could have the best of both worlds.
first off i would not recommend using the back seat... those bars are more of a danger to a passenger back there then safety...
its not an integra but the cars are simliar... u could run the bars through the rear deck dor more clearance if you wanted. dont forget with 4 doors the main hoop likes to be somewhere in the rear door
dont mind the mess as this is a work in progress...

Thanks everybody. I will definatly look into the shop in Stockton since it's only 40 minutes from here.
BigTom, that cage in the mirage/evolutionV looks pretty nice. I agree that rear seat passengers would more than likely be injured by the cage in an accident rather than helped. Nice X bracing along the bottom of the cage.
