roll cage
depends on how good of a stick welder you are, they used to be welded with stick. it wont be certified now a days unless you can pass it off on being mig, but if you have a stick chasis that used to pass, it will still pass if the bars are up to date on placement.
Is stick welding a roll cage bad? Well it's kind of like terr1bleone said, if it's to be certified for a race sanction you might want to look into official rules before doing that. But if it's for show and/or just for a street car you or someone can attempt it if you are skilled enough to use stick on that. MIG would be much better, if you can get it done MIG, get it done MIG by all means. If you really want to use stick make sure you get all the info, use the right electrode, and the right setting. Piping for a roll cage is very thin for something you would want to be stick welding, best bet is to try on some of your leftover pipe after you've cut/fitted it, if stick welding gives you results you dislike, get it MIG welded
