RHD conversion
unless you have the money to cut your car in half and have its welded back together at a frame shop i would say go ahead ..but if not its better to do a firewall conversion ..plus when you pull your motor you can clean the bay and tuck away some wires.and its a good learning experience

I won hottest JDM at this event!

My hatch was a firewall conversion. I do NOT recommend the front clip conversion. Have fun and enjoy! It is really fun driving, but drives thru's suck!

Nice hatch! but ARGH nothing bugs me more then RHD convertions with the radio antena STILL ON THE LEFT!!!! gives it away!

weve done it, the best way i believe is to cut through the floor pan mid way in the door, and @ halfway up the a-pillar, we inserted some tabs inside each section on all sides of the boxed sections. then a decent cage that ties the firewall and foor together on each side. with my 10 years of autobody experience the car will never be strong enough without the cage. since uni-body cars have multiple layered sections pretty much everywhere.

honestly if i have a problem with the e-manage, ill upgrade to aem or uberdata, but i have no problems with it at all. maybe once i get a t3/t4 and build the head ill stick something "better" on it, but if it aint broke, don't fix it

Im sorry but this post makes me luagh inside....
We have done firewall swaps....and it is by far the best and strongest way to do the conversion.... this will keep the uni-body frame rails intact and free from any cutting.

and why would this happen......the first car we did has seen the track (road coarse) and put down better times then most of the race preped cars at the track that day.....

i have no idea how that turned out, but i have seen that done with two totaled newer passats, and it was like brand new.</TD></TR></TABLE>
God I hope that car never got on the road......becasue even I know thats the total wrong way to do it ( and I am not a bodyman). It has to be seperated at existing spot welled joints and not butt welded the way that appears to have been done.
