Re: Recent exhaust work
Just not something I enjoy. I liken it to eating your cereal with a weeding spade. It's overkill.
The right materials are available, and the thicker manifolds are more work for no real reason.
I also think that companies like Full-Race are doing a good job, (as are many others) so I leave it to them to cover most applications while I do what I like best. I prefer to work in niches. It's more rewarding mentally and financially.
Hope that answers your question.

And I think your mentality towards them pays off in your favor.

Re: Recent exhaust work
wasn't the stock exhaust a total pita?
We put a set of american racing headers and a full corsa system on an ss for a friend, all I remember is i mostly spoke in expletives the whole time. Those cars arent much fun to work on

Re: Recent exhaust work
That tube is just a cleaner and stronger way to hang the exhaust, yes.
As for working on these cars, it's all relative.
Compared to my RSX where I can swap a header in less than 1 hour, sure, it's not great. Compared to the new 5.0L mustang, or the GT500's, it's much easier. I had to cut the stock exhaust off to get it off because of my 4-post hoist, but it took like 20 mins.
It rattled anyway, so was garbage!!

Re: Recent exhaust work
What clamps are those? Just hand tighten them or is there a trick I'm not seeing?
Love the exhaust tips, going to remember that for my future NSX build.

Re: Recent exhaust work
I give them a little oomph with a set of pliers, but yeah, simple.
