Default Problems w/ Sync 200??

While I was welding steel today, my machine would start up w/o argon. I can hear it click when I hear the pedal but sometimes the gas won't start w/ the arc. Any ideas?

mine does this periodically. i just shut off the argon and purge the system then hook it up again and all seems better. for me this happens mostly when i leave the gas on and it pegs the guage. dont know why, couldnt explain it but purging the system works for me. in fact had to do it yesterday.

the crappy thing is it's never done it before, tomorrow i'm going to call phoenix welding supply and see what they have to say. I'm guessing more then likely a relay could be going out? or maybe someone could have messed with one of the settings.

Things I checked:
postflow - auto
purged the lines
swapped tungsten (someone had lanthana 1.5 "grey" in there, not sure if thats good or bad or matters) back to red.
swapped gas bottles
cleaned everything thoroughly, re applied ground cable.

any other ideas?

What does your regulator read? 0 CFH or 20+cfh? If its at zero screw your regulator adjustment in with your foot on the pedal until you get gas flow.

I have an issue where mine won't start an arc at times, usually when I first turn it on. I find if I touch the metal, then get off, then hit peddle its fine

Yess mine does this on cold time, when it's cold in the garage (0 Deg C. ) I need to scratch start one time before the high frequency start work normally.
but I never had any gas flow troubble, it actually work everytime I need it.
