post pics of your storage solutions
looking for some pictures of everyones storage solutions. from bins, shelves, boxes, hanging devices, pallet racks etc. Im sure a bunch of us have a lot of stuff hanging around or sitting in boxes and theres the select few with spotless shops with a place for everything

i went a bought the med. sized pallet racking at mac's it is 2'x6' and i have 3 sets hooked together. it is 18' long and 3 shelves per section.

This is one of our warehouses. 50x40 building. 10 foot ceiling height. We initially ran inventory in a 14ft warehouse, but the additional height caused more problems then it helped. We store all of our boxing materials on the top of the racks (~5000 boxes). We using all heavy duty pallet racks w/ a mix of new/used beams. Avg cost is about $30-50/beam, and about $60-100 per upright. Adds up pretty quickly, so we try to buy used good condition racking whenever possible. Instead of using metal grating, we fill the racks with 2x4s.
4ft spacing is nice. The next picture is an example of what not do. 3ft spacing.
These racks work well for flanges/collectors/etc. These are 4ft wide beams.
We found that putting the shipping tables in the middle of the warehouse worked best for us. I see a lot of warehouses that go on one side or the other typically close to the door.

crmb what is the name of this company?i live in vancouver wa and from time to time i need some u bends and collectors.in the past i have ordered online.it would be nice to find a local source.
