so. i'm building this car for a friend. its a peugeot 106 gti.
cast block
woosner pistons and pec rods,
gt28rs turbo
peugeot sport head.
modified manifold to a 2t flange.
haltec platinum 1000 ems
aem meth kit
helix twin plate clutch
ect ect,

i need to finish it by tommorow, and it need to hit the dyno next week,

the manifold is the only thing that we kept from his old setup, he had a td04 i had to cut it and weld a t2 flange,

He's building one as well... Been put on a rotisserie and all.

i know this sounds ind of noobish, but why are those piston rings in the cylinders like that? is that how you check ring gap?

You are correct, different type of engine builds (boosted, nitrous, etc...) require different ring gaps.
