what's the difference with micro sd and regular sd?

you mean micro are the smaller ones?

i heard they're more gentle on dashboard and instrument panels.---true?

I think what he meant is what does the size of the screwdriver have to do with them being gentle on a dashboard?

Why are you scratching the dashboard with screwdrivers? I thought screwdrivers were meant for screws and such? And if you're fouling the screws, you got the wrong size/type screwdriver, or the screws are stuck.

are you talking in terms of like popping out trim pannels? i use a hook tool, or one of those upholstery pry bars that are made of plastic.

It also helps if you put a layer or three of duct/masking tape down over your leverage location/fulcrum. But that plastic tool should help, similar reason to using aluminum wrenches on aluminum AN fittings.

This is what i think of when someone says micro screw drivers. Apparently some even come with a warning label. Doesnt say anything avout being safer for your dash though...

use a lighter to clean/fix small scratches/indentations left from prying panels with a screwdriver.
