Default jdm front conversion..

thinking about gettin a teg and doing jdm front end now i have read up on the rad support removal and install and most people take it all apart and re weld it on.. i saw on instance where they usdm support had a T shapped cut out and another T shape from the jdm suport was welded in to the usdm suport.. sry for rambaling on but does any one have more info on this way of doing it.. all help is apreciated..

if your gonna do the conversion, I would suggest doing it the right way, and swap the core supports

i wouldnt suggest following this write up...it is NOT necessary to cut either core support!!! drill out all the spot welds holding the core support on and the thing will come off in one piece then proceed to weld all the same holes in on the jdm core support! If you want a better idea of how to do the conversion the correct way i have a thread where im currently doing the conversion! Mind you its not a step by step but it does have progressive pics to give you an idea...im pretty sure there are plenty of other how to threads on ht you just have to <U>Search</U>

i agree, change out the whole core support. Also having a Spot weld drill bit, helps tremendously....u can get the whole support off in about 30-45 mins or so...just be careful and not drill all the way thru...which you will for the first couple times until u get the hang of it...haha
