Help! Wire Feeder Problem! Any idea?
I really need help! When a object is ground, the only way the wire can spark is when you tap the wire onto the ground object and pull the "trigger"
But when i everything is ground, without triggering the gun.. Why is it still welding?? Aint it supposed to weld, only when you hit the trigger.? As if the trigger only acts as a wirefeed.
Kinda of confuzing how i explained it.. But please help! THanks.

sound like you need some surface prep....make sure there's no dust or paint on the area where you're welding ...and the ground clamps to bare metal

Some MIG welders I have used in the past operate this way as well. The trigger only feeds the wore. The tip is always "hot" so to speak
