Default A fresh look at race switch panels

Recently made a race switch panel for a customer and just wanted to show you guys. It doesn't come cheap since switches are rated to last.

Green Button is the Pushbutton Start Switch.
Red with arrows turns all engine functions. (Fuel Pump, ECU, Coil, Injectors etc.)
The four black Switches can be configured to turn on whatever you like. In my customers case, it's an override function Electric waterpump, Fuel pump, Radiator fan and ECU.

A more common switch used in most of the race cars. Environmentally sealed agains dust, oil and other crap.

Red turns on all engine functions.
2nd button is a momentary rocker switch for starting the engine.
4 switches on the left can be configured to turn on any device you like.

Looks nice, if you don't mind me asking where did you source the leds from? Do they come with that white/silver bezel around the edge?

Bought the pilot lights locally. Most lights I have seen are like $9-15 each. This one is way cheaper and rated to have 25000 hoirs lifespan.

I said pilot light since this uses a standard 12v bulb. I have seen some with silver trim. That one has a white trim/bezel.

Really nice panel.

How did you cut and shape the fiber pieces?

I used an artist knife to cut the carbon. It is a 3m Dinoc vinyl sticker.

When I did a real carbon fiber on I remember using a dremel cut off tool. but it took a lot of time. Sand Paper to finish.

Not enough switch panel threads! Nice work.

lexan works great too and is much easier to cut/drill etc.

Yes lexan is great too. If we make more of these then we will use waterjet to cut.

Mine goes in the relay/fuse/ecu panel. Not needed. Really but I wanna save the ECU USB from being abused.

Good work, switches are nice, that e-stop is really cool.

I work with composites a lot and I was fooled in the first pics, then I almost was like WTF when I saw the metal plate, then I was almost annoyed for a split second yet it quickly turned to me thin king its cool and I will probably do something similar for the right car.

I have used Di-noc and it is really cool material, never though of using it this way to make a easy panel.
