finger control rant
I don't know how you guys do it. I went from a foot control to a finger switch and I have to say it's like learning to weld all over again. Damn, I miss my foot pedal and miller
best thing to do, set the cup on what you are welding, and tilt the tungsten away from the grounded metal.. start the arc, then slowly work the proper amount of heat into it, (until you get the proper size puddle) then go with it!
it wont take long to catch on...
it is definately conveniant when you start laying on your side to weld something cramped way to low to the ground, or super tight up behind something...

I have used a finger control quite a bit, I'd rather drag my pedal under stuff with me or in tight spaces and use my knee or something. I have been shocked so many times with the thumbwheel and of course it doesn't default to off...
you get used to it. trying sticking your the point of your index finger into the corner the back cap and torch handle make and then use the slide with your thumb. Helps to steady the whole shibang.
when i use the thumb wheel, i hold the torch like a caveman would hold a spoon.... i use the side of my thumbs knuckle to handle the bizness!
