exhaust i just build for my personal car
a few of you might know about my car, but for those that don't, i'm getting close to finishing this thing. i just finished the exhaust today and i'm starting to get a bit excited about it so i thought i'd share. having a lift sure makes doing this sorta thing a hell of a lot easier.

dude, aluminum hard line for fuel under the car is a bad idea.
i did that and a freaking rock kicked up and pinched it, causing the engine to die....took forever to diagnose it. its just too darn soft.

thank you for the input from your personal experience. i will now most definitely carry a spare soft line in the car for longer trips.

Looks great man... I never thought of doing the bottom of the fuel cell on an angle like that, the build I am doing is gonna give me a hard time on the sump being clear at the back of the tank, gotta keep that in mind when I get to that!

Haha I was gonna say an S2k..
But I sure didn't think the underside looked like I remembered the s2k. Nice build looks very well done. Good luck with it. Please post sound clips + Vids!

i use a v-block and an arbor press. they are only 3/8" round 304, so they bend pretty easy. 1/2" hangers i have to heat and bend.

yeah, for the $, i think that wheel/tire combo is probably the best bang for the buck.
ground clearance isn't too bad at the muffler. the lowest point is the flex at the front, but i can still get a 2x4 under it.
here it is running, but untuned.

Re: exhaust i just build for my personal car
i had one here in the build section but it got locked when i got fed up with h-t and the whole "lock all my threads" problem i seemed to have had. that is also why i haven't posted my work here in the past couple years. a lot of my threads were getting locked for reasons unknown to me. perhaps people saw my threads as advertising, which is kinda funny because i only do fabrication for LOCAL people predominantly. i've only ever shipped a couple pieces to customers. needless to say, my business is headed in a different direction and i am focusing elsewhere.
don't worry though, you're not missing much as there was not really much to read. i'm more of a let my pictures do the talking guy. i get more wordy if someone asks something specific as i try to answer any question.
i also have a thread on a couple local forums, but they are mostly pictures too. you can also see all the pics on my facebook page. just search for Weir Technologies Inc.

Re: exhaust i just build for my personal car
All good, I'm friends or whatever with your FB page so I'll check them all out there. I wanted to see how you did the fuel cell and how you ran all of your hardlines and whatnot, just how I learn I guess haha.
Thanks man, and great work.
