Iv been using mig or flux core welders since I was about 13. I built a few mini chopper things back in high school from scratch. Im starting to get the hang of the tig a bit more now, I built a aluminum battery tray for my hatch and Im doing a back door intercooler setup for my buddys car. it takes a little bit more getting used to but its not super hard if you aren't trying to do pretty welds and just need things to stay together well.

for some reason i have to be switching the -/+ @ the machine for some reason to weld from aluminum to steel anyone having this issue?

If I leave it the correct way and switch to ac to weld aluminum my tungsten turns blue for some reason but if I switch the -/+ and works great my old Hobart didn't do that
