down pipe question

Default down pipe question

wanting to know what tools or what u guys do to the down pipe so it has that curve in to make room for the bolt? picture below with the red arrow pointing to what im talking about.

Bend the pipe around the bolt hole. It is really not that difficult. It can be done a few different ways.

what can i use to bend it? im not sure what tool, im thinking maybe a hammer, but dont want f it up lol

yes im using a allen bolt. still not clear if im using a 3inch dp, on the other hand a 2.5" dp will clear, but dont wanna have to order 2 pipes to get 1 down pipe done, and a straight 3 inch dp just looks so much sexier lol.

Try using a stud and nut. You can pick up the stud at a hardware store or pull it from the intake/exhaust side of any spare head. Also use one of the nuts holding the stock header on the motor. They are pretty small and round. That's what's I did and it works great.

the allen bolts i have are smaller than those studs/12mm nuts on the in/ex head.
