building a down pipe

Default building a down pipe

hey guys i'm building my own down pipe .

for pipe i'm using 316 bends en 316 pipe ,now i cute a flange also out of 316 material .
but now i'm wondering doesn't that expand to much ???

It will expand a lot, but you shouldn't have any problems if its welded correctly.

should i drill the holes bigger then? to give the flenge some more space

bolt the flange to a steel table or clamp it down before you weld it......
this will also keep it from warping...
