That looks easy to make, but there is not that much room on a street driven hatch without hacking everything up.

No, I hope to get started on it one day. It's a pain since it can't really look like the b-series one. U have to first clear the alternator and then you have to set the manifold a bit lower. I would love to see how it turns out if u are able to make one.

i got my manifold on my car this weekend and this thing is sick! the boost starts at 2800 rpm and this is on a t3/to4e with a .63 stage 3 wheel , then when full boost hits it slams you into the set alot harder than it did with my drag manifold, and also iam running very rich cus to be safe i have uped my fuel pressure 4psi and running race gas only, until i get it retuned i will have my dyno charts up for you guys to see and compare.

I had a close look yesterday.. it doesn't seem like the alternator is going to be a huge factor? I might sheild it for heat but right off the bat it doesn't seem like it's directly in the way..

I'll take lots of pics

You can get around it, It covers the inlet slightly and hampers you from running a filter, unless you place the turbo really far out or down.

This is what i built for my car last week...

I may be able to come to the rescue for some of you guys. I've been selling collectors to hulkhb and a couple other guys for a while now. I sell them for $65 each + shipping unwelded. These ones are 304ss but i can also do mild steel.

here is one i welded

I didn't weld the inside of this one because i didn't have the proper torch

Anyone care to share how they lay out the cuts for a merge collector? I have a horizontal bandsaw and I would like to make a jig so I can just set up the cut and go weld while it cuts. any jig pics?

haha, ya i figured that out already. I guess i'll just do it my way and see how it goes. I'll be sure to not to share my findings since my 2 hours of work will undoubtedly yield some amazing key to life that I should not, nay, for the sake of humanity can not share. A pair of graceful cuts that cross at such angles to produce a power, a knowledge, that a man must find for himself. Sadly, each fabrication solider must take this weighty burden upon his shoulders and bring it to his earthly resting place...silent.

Do any of you actually make the collector so it fits the flange or do you just cut them square? Having the collector overlap the flange sort of defeats the purpose of the merge collector.

All of our collectors are formed and shaped to fit the flange, if it's t3, t4, split scroll, v band doesnt matter we can do just about any of them.

Sorry I did not mean the burns stuff. The two pictured above with the price war going on both appear to be square/round but going into a rectangle flange. It seems to me that if your going to all the trouble of building a merge collector you would atleast want it to fit the flange and not just be a generic shape. I know I always did that with mine and it was much more of a pita as a result. Other wise your nice flow you have going on hits a wall and becomes turbulant.

eLusive- Do you weld the inside of the collectors? It would appear you cannot possibly get a tourch down the top on the outside.

Actully as i had told before that we dont we do fuse the inside, apologize for the misinfo

We fuse it without rod and then polish it away just for some added strength but as far as for sealing ours with just tac's will hold water
