Default Cutting pipe in a bandsaw

I have a HF bandsaw, I know it's far from a good bandsaw but i've seen guys accomplish all sorts of things with these cheap saws so I know it's good enough for my use. My question though is how do you guys mount/clamp curved pipe to be cut perfectly down the center? Are you guys building a jig/fixture of sorts to hold the pipe to get perfect cuts? I have some pipe I have to cut up but have a feeling I won't be able to clamp them down in the proper spot and i'm going to end up with oblong/oval cuts that wont fit together properly.

Also how do you guys measure and mark out curved pipe so that you are cutting it perfectly down the radius of the bend?

Jigs are what it's all about man. You gotta figure out what you want to do and make a fixture to help you make that happen.

In the case of the HF bandsaw, don't underestimate it's ability. First thing to using that thing well is GET RID of the blade that it comes with. That thing is garbage. Set the tension with that spring...you may need to turn the bar with channel locks because the handle is glued on and will give. Once that tension is set, the saw will cut hands free. With a good blade just crank the blade tension **** on top pretty tight. Mine is TIGHT.

Took mine a little bit to set up, but my stuff cuts awesome. I cut collectors to all but perfection anymore. Just took some tweaks to my jigs and repetition.

I too am VERY surprised at the HF bandsaw. the guide system could be more rigid, but other than that it's just a decent simple saw.
Like RC said, make some jigs. I unbolted the guide and just drilled and tack welded some pieces of angle iron together to be able to put a C clamp on for some of the little things I've done. It works pretty well.
