Default Custom Underguard/splash guard

Not sure where else to put this but after a spirited drive today i completely ripped out my inner plastic fenderwell/splash guard

I've been considering replacing them for a long time now with that of a stronger sheetmetal sort. I'm just looking for ideas on thickeness and ways/tools for bending the metal.

I 'll be using the stock plastic for most of the fenderwell and sheetmetal for the bumper corners and middle section(make it all one piece.

Has anyone done this? Any companies make them? I've searched and have come up with notta

I asked this question a long time ago and kinda got the feeling that It was going to be too much work, I decided it was just easier to raise the car up a little bit.

I'd say talk to some guys that have experence with making wheel tubs for drag cars, they should be able to point you in the right direction of what materials to use and how to go about it.

started today with a cardboard template of the entire under bumper/partial wheel well.

Going to pick out a suitable size sheetmetal tomorrow and copy the template onto it.

This actually isn't very time consuming... I'll post pics as this comes along

sounds like a neat project. keep us updated. i would think some think pliable plastic and a heat gun would do the trick but aluminum or ss sheets isnt a bad idea.
