Have you seen tractor trailer log manifolds? they look somewhat like that. Not the best design for overall flow, but they work.

 

Damn there is a lot of liquid gasket on that turbo.

BAD flow though, I guess it's a bit comparable to a log manifold, except for the long *** runner to the inlet flange...

well... actually... whoever built this thing prolly did what he can with what he has in hand...

btw, look very similar to a WRX turbo...

Anybody notice that if the flange was verticle like most engines...the turbo wouldn't drain any oil since the inlet would face up?

Its New Zealand, their oil flows the opposite direction
