custom manifold question

Default custom manifold question

well me and a friend made a steel manifold,well i put it on the engine and a bolt wont go on because the runner blocks it,what should i do about this?how could i shave it down?thanks

I wouldn't shave it any, you don't want to make the material any thinner. Heat it up slightly in that area, and make some gentle taps with something that has a rounded edge. Do some test fits to make sure you don't do too much. as too much of a bump will disrupt exhaust flow.

can you put a stud in the hole? tey a stud and just putting a bolt on the other side. In tight spots this works the best. Just make sure to use thread lock on it

it fits,but there is no room to turn the nut
