Every time I ask, no one can give me a straight answer, what is the purpose of this device? and what is the purpose of the air inlet?

when your pistons go up and down and the crank rotates, they move the air/oil in the block and create a + pressure and - vacuum. The oil catch can allows that air to exit and enter the block as its needed, but with the air going in and out, so is some small amount of oil vapors, especially at high rpm's.

The can catches all that oil vapor, but still allows the air to escape. If you run a drain from the oil catch can back to the block, then all that oil vapor that did exit, will drain back into the block at low rpm's.

Hey, could you do a ms paint sketch of how you did the baffling or something? I can't really tell how you did it. If you don't mind...

This is the best shoot of the baffle inside of the catch can. Its an "L" shaped that is welded to the bottom side of the top of the catch can on the inside. It has about 1/4" gap between the sides so the air can escape with ease.

I might be able to make another one, but I dont' think I would make it the same 100%. Just because I dont' like to make the same thing over and over. I like new chalanges.
