Cool, but for having such a nice shop/fab skills, I must say, the video quality leaves a little bit to be desired!

Any updates on this beast. Just got a CTS-V myself after all my Hondas and would love to see where this ends.

If a pump compresses a volume into a higher pressure than it started and then takes the then smaller/higher pressure volume and puts it into another pump to be compressed further, it is then considered compound pressurizing, boosting, charging, turboing, whatever. It wouldn't matter if he was using a leaf blower and a bicycle tire hand pump on an RC car. If it makes 1 psi of pressure over ambient, it is compound boosting.

Russian, I must say the fab work looks great.

But, from the engineering/design perspective I must say I don't understand the idea of keeping the supercharger. It is just far too inefficient.

It would make much more sense to sequentially operate the turbochargers. Ever since the 959 in the 80's this concept is kind of silly.

Perhaps the next stage you can do is go sequential?

Don't think this post takes away from any of the great work you've done. It's just I don't understand why the project is going the way it is, keeping the blower that is.

Yes, the dude did what the customer asked for.

But, the customer doesn't always know what they want. That is where experience and salesmanship comes in. You ask them WHY they want it the way they do, if they really don't know (which is probably most of the time) you kindly suggest a better or more logical way from your experience.

If I walked into your shop and said install this awkwardly compatible part to my car, and you clearly saw a better way you wouldn't suggest it? Wouldn't you want your customers having the best results they could have once they leave your shop?

Be more than just a fabricator. Be an ambassador for your shop. You'll grow your business in the process.

Most times they do.

If you suggest something they will just say OK because they trust someone that it will be what they want when its done.

Then a few months after they get it they will realize its not what they wanted and thats how a bad reputation starts.

Listen to a customer unless the project is open ended for you to be creative.

the owner has been racing turbo cars for years, he wanted to try a compound setup. he ended up deleting the stock blower anyway though so its now true twin turbo. he just got a 427 dropped in there, getting ready to tune soon i think. i just did the fab work.
