Default in need of some real world input...large turbo/low boost/tial 44mm

whats up everyone, happy holidays

just wanted to get some input on what some people have experienced first hand running a large turbo at low boost on a tial 44mm.

whenever i get my block done, im planning on upgrading to a gt3076r .82. low boost i dont even care what the numbers are, just need something daily driveable, and of course high will striclty be for the track.

im looking to see if anyone is having any low-boost control issues with a similar setup...reason im asking is it seems that a dual-gated setup is the way to go to be safe.

TIA

if you're going to run low boost y not go with gt28r ? will probably be more fun on the street, but gt30r isn't all that large. I think that'll also be a great turbo with low boost on the street.

My buddy runs a T66 massive turbo at 6psi and i believe an HKS 44mm wastegate and it still hauls ***. That is on an H22 though.

You won't need dual gates with a 3076 @ low boost...the turbo isn't that big.

also depends on the manifold..44mm are plenty big youll be fine....

I have a 35R .82 ar and a turbosmart 38mm...it holds 9 psi until about 7500 rpm and then creeps to about 13

im running a 28rs now, i love it but when i build the bock i want to step up in power.

phoenixturbojesse - thanks for the input

its a full-race prostreet manifold, so the wastegate is in the best location possible.

thanks everyone for the input...just wanted to get some feedback
