Default Collector how to....

At first I used the search!

In the past I made my needed collectors with a hand grinder (hope it is the right english word).

But now I need a lot of collectors. I know that some people build them with a band saw and something that holds the material in position while cutting.
Do you guys havesome pics of how such a thing looks like?
I´m thankful for every suggestion.

Collectors are a huge PITA and until you get it down pat, practice on some PVC.

just'a hint for starters

You misunderstood me. I made a lot of collectors in the past. Unfortunatly I just fabricated them with a hand cutter and hand grinder. Believe me, they came out in very good quality. But it takes me 1.5-2hours to build each colector. That sucks.

Now I need a lot of collectors and so I´m searching for a way to build them with a machine to save me time and work.

Do you understand what I want to say?

So it would be great if somebody can give me some ideas or hints.

Thanks

If you searched you would have seen that anyone who knows how, wont tell you!

Trial and error.. Learn on your own! This isnt something people talk about

use pvc at the same time use them on the trial and error JIG you need to make, once the jig cuts the PVC as you need, then weld the jib up, use SS and you are done

What size outlet does the z10 collector have? Looks like a nice piece. Just curious if it matches the ID of a t3 or t4 turbine side?

Regards,
Justin

Very nice piece there...

Pricing would be great if possible... also... how come they are not drilled / threaded? Or is that the unfinished piece?

As Ken Peak asked... how much does it weigh and what kind of coating is it?

Thanks

The collectors are 150 each with quan discount available the collector has a t3/t4 flange and comes drilled. They are set up for 1.5 inch ID pipe or tube. The relief in the top fits 1.5 sced 40 pipe fittings. The finish is as cast. The weight is 4.7 pounds, it equivalent to a schd 40 collector. The wall thickness is for fatigue resistance.
