Default BLOCK DAMAGE

i just bought a gsr block from a wrecked car and the mount was ripped out from the driverside. The main mount. one of the holes is cracked it doesn't look like it want to far but,,, is it worth fixng?


someone told me to refill it and tap it and another guy just wants to drill out the cracks and helicoil it?

any suggestions

there is a company that makes a mount replacement, it replaces the mount if it has been ripped out of the block on the drivers side, I will get you the info on monday, the mount kit sells for around $175.00, It bolts to the back of the head and the front of the block and still uses the factory rubber mount, I have used several in wrecked cars or cars where the bolts were left loose and ripped out of the block,

we fixxe a type r engine along time ago by welding the cracked holes up and drilling and tapping them out.
