Default Adapter Plate Midwest

I'm in the STL/SEMO Area.

Anyone know of a shop or a person on here who'd be up and able to design and fabricate a transmission adapter plate for a 13B to a 2.3L Ford Ranger trans? I'm selling my CRX and getting a Ford Ranger with a blown engine. A guy I know has a few FC's and he swaps LS1's into them and tosses the 13B's out. I figured it'd be fun to swap a rotary into a Ford and watch the locals around here cringe.

As far as I can see, a rotary has three engine mounts and then bolts to the trans. If I can get the plate I figure it'll be a cake walk from there in regards to wiring and such. Anyone have any advice or criticism? Thanks!

don't really have any experience with either of those but I do a lot of solid modeling and if you get me the measurements you need I can draw it up for you.

Stock motor, it really doesn't resemble most of the swaps on here which are boosted to the moon. It's more or less just for fun.

If the plate doesn't come through I'll probably source a FC trans and go from there with a custom drive shaft, etc.

Why not do engine/trans and custom driveshaft instead?

I found out the guy'll throw in the trans, harness, ecu and cluster because he's got 4 FC's sitting around.

And I'm looking into a Nissan B-series / Hardbody, I'm not too sure about the Ranger. Who knows though, I'm grabbing engine/trans/etc as soon as my CRX sells.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions.

i'd use the mazda trans myself...custom driveshafts are CHEAP. ranger trannies cant be worth that much trouble, IMO...maybe i'm wrong, but i cant imagine that trans being any stronger or better than a mazda.

Getting a 13B NA, trans, crossmember, full FC harness, cluster, ecu, and anything else I want for $500. I'm just going to use that trans and mount it in the Ranger/Nissan.

Anyone feeling a Ranger or a Nissan Hardbody? Right now I've got a Ranger in amazing shape minus blown engine for $500, but cheapest lead on a hardbody is $900. Also there's a Z20 for $200, but it needs body work like a mug.

use the mazda trans, the rangers trans is garbage, just like all the others (except for the t5).

Ive got 2.3t parts for days if you need odds and ends.
