I cut a whole there and welded a tight 90 right off of the intercooler, and it goes straight to the turbo. I'll try to find some pics.

edit:

You can see it's all one piece off the intercooler, and it's just one coupler onto the turbo.

It's fine to cut there, on one of our shop cars we removed all of that sheet metal except a little bit to support the headlights, it's not really structural.

Yep, be careful when you do it that way. With 3" piping you need to keep it tight to avoid tire clearence issues if you are running over a 25" tire.

I'm not going to lie, they don't fit very well. If you don't mind drilling your own mounting points and aren't too concerned with perfect fitment, they're alright I guess. Company I purchased them from (link above) shipped very fast and they were packaged well. I don't know of any others in production besides these though, atleast OEM ones that is.

it started as a budget build, evolved into a quaife/built head/edelbrock/ectune/blah blah, its all in the thread.

edit; and it weighed 1770lb last year in race form. might gain a few LB but not much. hehe

ran 14.7 @ 89mph IIRC, Vitara Y8 forged rod NA monster. lol

do it man. we are trying to setup up the SOHC game in BC.

already smashed the old record of 11.79 with my 10.91, going for big things this year hopefully. stopped looking into a roll bar and started looking into a roll cage.
