Default 3" DOWNPIPE ISSUES

I have a 1989 Honda CRX with a 3" downpipe. My problem is the pipe sits so low on the car that I'm afraid to lower the stance at all. Is there a such thing as an oval down pipe and exhaust? Any additional ground clearance would help!!! Thanks!!!

In most cases, slammed cars aren't meant for serious racing AND street driving. You won't find any 'slammed' car in the top 5 of any drag series. As for road cars, they usually start cutting the body if needed, and only have 1" of actual suspension movement, let alone any need to clear a speed bump.

FWIW I made my own 3" for my EF. The only problem was the 5" round resonator, which still had an inch to go up (heavy-*** ~14ga steel weighing it down). The car was slightly tucking 16's at one point, and only scraped on very tall speed bumps.

Oval pipe is only a partial solution IMO. Hella expensive, and not much extra volume considering it's height.
