Here's some pics of a header i just finished up for a '67 Alfa Romeo. Turned out to be the hardest header i've done, by far! Each runner is 27" long, 9" of 1.5", 9" of 1.625", and 9" of 1.75", all spec'd by Burns. There was not alot of room to work at all considering the runner lengths! The car has a steering box and a mechanical clutch linkage all in the way, so that was the only place the collector would fit. Having the collector that close to the head flange makes things look crazy! haha

Mani looks sick, reminds me of those rollercoaster toys I played with in the doctor's office as a kid.

kinda OT, but where are the cams/cam in that motor? Looks DOHC, no room to be OHV, but there's so little room in the valve cover there. Are those lobes right on the stems? Kinda hard to fit vtec lobes in there

I like the beehive springs, they work great and look cool too!

I'm pressure sure it's a DOHC with a cam over bucket type valvetrain. That's just my guess though, haven't had the valve cover off of it or anything. I think this one is non vtec.

Is it the slab that's it's sitting on, or are the flanges not really on the same plane? Other than that, absolutely gorgeous.

Since all the runners slip into the collector and they each have their own flange, they turn independantly. When it's bolted to the head they all line up.

Those are the rubber protective "shoes" you put on chair legs so you don't scratch the floors.

Also, another note on this header, all the tubes fire sequentially into the collector. Not sure how big a deal it is, but i was on the spec sheet from burns.

Does that mean the pulses enter one after another firing in a circler direction when looking at the collector?

with the slip fit and the individual flanges you'd be able to put that thing together like a jigsaw puzzle. nice work.

Yeah, that's how you have to. Each runner has to go in in a certain order and then the collector is slipped on from the bottom.
