Re: B series cam cover - with cutout for gears
Well, to help speed this along for you, there are a few areas you need to address in your negotiation process.. I'll assume that this is for VTEC and not a NON-VTEC engine considering your location in Western Australia, in which there were very few B18B or B20 Non-VTEC engines... So, with that said;
A: Which kind of cutout?
This type?
or this type?
Or This?
B. With, or without outer lower shield?
C. Colour preference? Greys, reds, blacks, polished, etc?
A couple of facts here for you:
*Shipping would be more than likely be Guaranteed Express Global (GXG) Or Priority International to Perth,
*Australia would be about $150 1-3 days, or $90 6-10 days using Priority International
*Shipping cost is using an average of a 22" X 12" X 5.5" (558mm X 305mm X 140mm) box at 14lbs (6.5kgs).
D. So, now the question is, how is the condition do you want it?
- 1) Doesn't matter as long as it is cut one of the 3 ways listed
- 2) I want it powder coated, with a certain range of colours 1 of the 3 ways listed
- 3) I want it classic Type R Red or Black with it cut one of the three ways listed
E. What are you willing to spend on the valve cover alone? Do you care if it has the vacuum nipple attached?
Not much can be done about the shipping, as I've listed the least expensive options for those willing and able to ship international while filling out International Declaration paperwork
All this will help with your purchasing possibilities from the majority of the people in North America that would be selling to you.
There are those of us with them, (including myself) but answering these questions will be key here for clarity of knowing what you're looking for.
Good luck to you.

Re: B series cam cover - with cutout for gears
Wow thanks for the help!
Probably the top one is my preference. looks the neatest
Would be nice to keep the lower protection i guess, i have my factory stuff though.
Shipping wise I have a freight forwarding service, but i'd need to do the sums if its cheaper to send directly or via them.
Condition wise, dont really mind as long as its not too bad. Probably prefer to keep the type-r red it possible but open to other colours if cheaper.
Basically looking to pop on a new one so I can adjust gears on the dyno

Then I have one available, in teal green, fresh powder coat. Please private message me an email address to send images to you.
Most of us can't use freight forwarding accounts unless your service will pick up something large like an engine. 99% of U.S. sellers will use the United States postal service for something as small as a valve cover with the prices listed above
