FT fully built d16 turbo ek hatch
ok guys and girls im testing waters on trading my 98 dx hatch.
vehicle history-
april 2009 i was in a market for a new honda and came across this hatch at a local honda dealer. it was a 1 owner dx hatch in amazing condition with zero modifications with 113396 miles. was never in a accident so i purchased it. Now over the years the car has been modified with legit parts. no eBay here guys.
lets get to the modifications.
body-
*currently has 165xxx and going up as it is my daily driver.
*just started to bumble on the fender, very small spot.
has its normal little dings and scratches that a normal 14 year old car has.
*roma red
*legit Stanly sir headlights
*use to have a legit ctr lip but was destroyed from curbs,steep drive ways ect so i bought a replica at a local car show cause i got sick of fixing or replacing a 300 dollar lip
Chassis-
* stock steelies
*Function form type 1 coilovers
*Converted front control arms to accept sway bars.
*civic ex 22mm sway bar with ES bushings and all new oem honda hardware
*gsr rear sway bar with ES bushings with new honda hardware.
*blox rear sway bar links
*brembo slotted rotors
*hawk hps pads
Interior-
*OEM EDM ir clock( placed next to the radio
*jvc headunit
*Del sol grey stripe seats, had a little rip but i fixed it to prevent it from getting worse.
*ex cluster, swapped speedo so mileage is 100% accurate
*changed all the bulbs to amber(cluster and climate control)
*replaced shift boot with new oem one
*gsr shift ****
*skunk 2 dual bend short shifter
*ex arm rest with new oem Honda bracket
*converted the dx to non AC including swapping the ac duct to a non ac and got a ac button cover.
*replaced the blown speakers with pioneers.
*stock head unit with oem tape player.
Turbo-
*turbonetics t3t04e 61 trim. boosts at 4500 pulls hard
*STR cast manifold
*custom made turbo feed and drain from a local hydraulic place.
*stainless steel down pipe custom made
*full 3 inch custom exhaust
*tial 38mm wastegate 10lb spring
*large front mount with cx racing piping
*turbonetics bov. also have a greddy type s
*street tuned on chrome
*apexi turbo timer
*rc 550 cc injectors
*walboro 255
Motor-
this engine was built by me over the course of two years using only the best products. every seal/gasket even alot of the bolts were replaced with oem honda. no felpro here.
*started with a d16y7 block. block was taken to a local known machine shop at D&L and was hot tanked, bored to to 75.5(ptw clearances using the supertech pistons), knotched for the rods, decked.
*had the d16y7 crank spun
*kings mains, rod and thrusts, all clearances in spec
*tuner toys rods
*super tech 75.5 pistons
*toga hv oil pump, swapped out the china gaskets with oem honda ones
*new oem pan gaskets, oil pick up gaskets
*new oem rear mail seal
*bisimoto 75.5 head gasket
*d16y8 cylinder head which i have alot of money in. the head was sent to the machince shop completely stripped, hot tanked, snad blasted to clean carbon out of it, decked.
*had new oem valves plus vlave stem seals installed then had the valves seated.
*super tech valve springs
*comp 59300 cam shaft
*oem cam seals
*d16y8 harness(uncut)
*y8 intake manfold plus throttle body
*competition stage 5 clutch sprung.
*d16y8 transmission
*innovation 75a billet black mounts.
**engine was broken in using joe gibbs break in oil. at 20 miles oil was changed with joe gibbs again untill 100 miles then engine oil was changed to Valvoline standard 10w30.
* engine bay was also tucked during motor swap. wires were uncut i just de-pinned the plug.
--ok the car currently has two issues
*every once an awhile 2nd gear will pop out(have a replacement z6 transmission
*oil pan is leaking a little(forgot to hondabond the corners spots. has a VERY slow drip on the exhaust manifold.
both easy cheap fixs
this car has been my baby over the years and no corners have been cut. the new motor runs very strong and i drive it every day. motor and turbo setup currently has 10,000 miles and climbing.
im really looking for trades since i drive this car every day to work and the store and to friends houses.
MUST be 5 speed
-This car has NEVER left me set and is super reliable and drove it to ocean city for h20i(6hour drive there)
-post what u have. i must be able to drive it every day. no unfinished projects.
im in no rush to sell my car just looking to see what else is out there.
