1995 Honda del Sol VTEC - OEM B16A3 - 126k - Daily Driver!
Hello Honda-tech,
For sale is my 1995 Honda del Sol VTEC. If you're familiar with these you'll know how rare they are. This was the first Honda model sold in America to have a factory B16 engine in it, well before the 99-00 Civic Si. The del Sol VTEC was sold from 1994-1997 and only 6,138 were built. 1995 is considered the best year for the del Sol VTEC as it was the first year to have anti-lock brakes, the first year to have the redesigned targa top seals, the last year for the front auxiliary lights and the last year for the B16A3 (OBD1).
The car is in good condition and is my daily driver. Very little rust, there's a gash on the driver's side door and rear quarters where a little is starting to bubble. Way less rust than your average 20 year-old Honda. Previous owner resprayed the fenders OEM Granada Black Pearl which matches the rest of the car well. The car has its original B16A3 and transmission, both working perfect. The previous owner changed the water pump and timing belt at 121,000 miles so no worries there. The valve cover gasket was leaking a bit when I bought it so I replaced it with an OEM Honda gasket and sealed it with Hondabond. The engine does not smoke or leak/burn any oil. Transmission shifts through all gears without any pops/grinds or other issues.
I purchased this car in June to daily drive for the summer but it's just too small for me (buyer will understand when they see me. lol). This is a rare car and ready to be daily driven. I have a clean AutoCheck I can provide to interested buyers upon request and a small binder full of receipts. Car is located in Utica, NY.

Appreciate the clarification Freemananana! I usually just ignore people who question my price but this sums it up perfectly. Thank you.
P.S. - Who needs a back seat? The trunk is so big on these, I'm sure you could fit 1 or 2 kids back there

My friend sold one in similar condition for 2700 like a month ago. I was asking because he couldn't get a penny more... His had 136k also all original miles and it was black as well.
Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks for the good words, definitely worth the price!
Sorry for the lack of a thread bump, I'm out on a bit of a road trip with the Sol! Currently in Pictou, Nova Scotia! Car has been running perfect without issues. If anybody is interested in purchasing the car, I'd be willing to drive it anywhere in the country
P.S. - The new floor mats were delivered but I'm not home to check them out. Will add new pics with them when I'm home. Pretty firm on my price!

Thank you!
Price drop to $4,500 firm! Had a photo shoot on Wednesday with CFD Productions, I've added the first photo and will add the others with the next thread bump. Also put the new floor mats in that I had custom made to OEM size. They fit perfect and look so much better. It's crazy how one little change can make a world of difference

A few new photos added thanks to Dan at CFD Productions. Also have an appointment with the Honda dealer Monday for an oil change, tire rotation, A/C recharge and cabin filter change.

Just got home from the dealership, I was told my car was the star of the shop! lol Tires were rotated, oil/filter changed, multi-point inspection completed (car is considered to be in excellent condition) and the A/C was recharged with no leaks/issues! The next owner will have nice and cold A/C for those rainy days when the top has to be on
I also went ahead and removed the eBay aluminum radiator/hoses and replaced them with brand new OEM parts last night. I hated the look of the cheap radiator and it looks so much better with OEM equipment in there. I'm taking off on a 7-hour trip to D.C. now with the top off! If anybody tries to contact me over the weekend, I may be a little slow responding.
I'll leave you all with one new photo from last week's photo shoot...

Had a great trip to D.C., the freshly recharged A/C was really a must in the southern August heat. Car ran great with no issues, new radiator worked great and car still drives nice and straight after having the tires rotated.
Price drop to $4,400!
Here's two new pictures from my shoot with CFD Productions. Awesome work, thanks Dan!
