1998 Honda Civic EX - $3700 o.b.o.
Price Drop!!! $3200 OBO
Shoot me an offer need gone soon! willing to meet within 50 miles of 03037, southern New Hampshire.
1998 Honda Civic EX
- Cypress Green pearl ext. color
- 2 door coup
- 145,000 mi.
- 5 speed
- OEM spoiler
- moonroof
- A/C blows cold
- Alarm, keyless entry
- OEM pin stripe
- 6 speaker Alpine stereo and head unit
- power windows, doors
Replaced parts:

- valves adjusted around 120k mi.
- manual transmission fluid changed, 120k mi.

- cleaned throttle body and IACV
- valve cover gasket 120k mi.
- Mobil 1 synthetic oil, changed every 5,000 mi.
- past summer replaced driver side caliper, and both rotors
- Tires replaced just last winter, all season
- alignment last winter done
Aftermarket parts/additions:
- Magnaflow cat-back exhaust
- Megan Racing 4-2-1 header
- AEM sri
- front and rear strut bars
- Brembo Blanks
- HPS Hawk brake pads
- Depo yellow fog-lights
- chrome grille (have stock one also)
- Black housing headlights (no fogging, or moisture)
- Si taillights (just bought past summer $130)
- custom painted rims (went through a good diy, sanding, primer, etc.)
- painted valve cover
Has a few minor dings and scratches two small bubbles of paint around driver rear wheel well (no visible rust), buffs out easily this paint really stands out.
Had no problems with this car runs like a charm. Transmission shifts smooth, spirited driver but didn't beat on it. Really want to keep it too, and in all seriousness I'm not just using that line, this car was my baby. Had plans to turbo it and have it as my second car, but my wallet's tight and have an Acura RSX type-s that is still being paid off. If interested I have a nearly complete turbo set-up for this car, came off of a 6th gen civic so all the pipes are cut to fit.
pm me here or my personal email is: wardcg83@yahoo.com
PICS NOTE: nothing wrong with rear window, in the process of removing tint while I snapped these photos

Re: 1998 Honda Civic EX - $3700 o.b.o.
This isn't a 1998 mustang with 145k miles and riddled with rust. Look at the exterior color, it looks this good and I haven't even washed it or buffed it in months. And believe me it drives as good as it looks. Only has two tiny bumps that would indicate any bit of rust around one wheel well. Wouldn't be an issue until a couple more years and by then a little bondo and sanding would fix it, no extensive fiberglass, welding metal etc.
Kelley Blue Book rates this car with this many miles in "good" condition to be $3500. Some people consider KBB to over value cars during this time. Even so, then consider the car to be $500 less. Now I put in over $1000 in aftermarket parts (not to mention other OEM replaced parts and fluids) the Magnaflow cat back which was $400, comes with a lifetime warranty that I have the paper for, installed two years ago, and the megan racing header has a lifetime warranty pretty sure also (will check)...
... you would still think $2200 reasonable?

PS. Let me tell you a little trick...those rubber mouldings around the rear quarter wells...take them off and throw them in the garbage! Thats the reason why your car is starting to bubble in the rear quarters. They hold all the salt, dirt, and water in the quarter lip and it gets down behind the pinch welds and starts rust. Honda should have left them off from the factory.

Re: 1998 Honda Civic EX - $3700 o.b.o.
alright sir... than I think your the one who needs the "Good luck". If you are so then obliged why not show me one guy, one single person selling a 6th gen civic with this many miles in this condition for $2200. You do that for me and I wont consider your tottaly biased ramblings to be unreasonable. And don't just show me a rusty shell....
considering this car is 11 years old and has 2 (and I'll take a picture) tiny bubbles no clear "rust" as of now, and these first signs started this same very year I consider a job well done to Honda wouldn't you? Let me let you in on a little secret the EX models are less prone to rust than the other trim levels thats partly why i bought this. And if you read my post of discrediting KBB even so offer's of over $3k for this car is not out of the relm of reason for any person not trying to waste time and haggle a seller.

lol it's 11 years old, and actually it's really 13 if you think about it cause cars come off the lot a year befor there date anyway, and it's going to be a new year so. Yeah I would like to see how many 13 year old cars from New England don't have even the most minor rust like mine and hasn't had any body work done.
Just a side note Kelley blue book has recently changed the value of this car in this condition, I just checked. So I'll be doing a price change Car is now $3200 OBO

Great offer come on someones got to be on the east coast that wants a good reliable civic with mild mods. Really wanted $3500 for this car but in this economy letting it go for less.

I was in the process of removing tint when I took the pics, the process involves spraying water on the rear window exterior covering with a trashbag, then either lying it in the sun or use a blow dryer. Then on the inside spray with ammonia and cover with a trashbag as well.
