1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo
Posting this for a friend:
THIS IS NOT A N/A CONVERSION AND AS FAR AS I'M AWARE THE ONLY TURQUOISE PEARL '93 HARDTOP TURBO IN THE US
Asking $12K OBO - includes everything below plus stock '94 ECU, full spare engine wiring harness, stock I/C hot pipe, and stock AFM
Issues:
- The body is straight and CarFax yields no accidents but I did find that passenger side rear 3/4 panel had some very minor of bondo work done. The previous owner told me that Toyota dearlership drove the car up a parking bumpstop and damaged the underside of the trunk a bit - you can see the damage inside the frunk - relatively minor.
- There is no stereo in the car and speakers do not work. The car has the facytory subwoofer set up behind both seats (speaker grills still in place) but I've thrown out the woofers and use the space as storage compartments.
- Seats have the typical rips in the side supports but overall are in decent condition.
- The stock tach does not work but I'm running a Defi tach w/ shift light.
- The fuel guage only goes up to 90% full even when tank is topped off.
- There are no fog lights.
- Instrument cluster dimmer switch does not work there's light, you just can't adjust it
Maintenance:
I've got pretty much all the paper work for all the maintenance work and parts in hand. Below are things that I've replaced that I can currently remember:
- Car's roof was rattle canned black but I had a body shop remove that and re-spray the car back to the factory Turquoise Pearl last week
- New distributor housing was installed today - old one had a crack and was leaking oil
- There are no oil, exhaust, or coolant leaks - all fixed last week
- Replaced valve cover gasket spark plug tube gaskets last week
- HFH and HFHOE
- Timing belt
- Cam seals
- Crank seals
- Oil and/or water pump(s) - need to check receipts
- Clutch (replaced with OS Giken)
- AC system switched to R134a - works great!
- Much much more...
